It was almost as if author Grant Cardone had a “Go big or go home” mindset when publishing the book. Go big or go home. We have all heard this phrase sometime in our lives, whether it was at the beginning of a large work campaign or maybe when deciding on the family vacation. The point being, if you are going to take the time and effort to do something, you might as well go all out. Grant Cardone has a similar mindset, but taking it to the next level.
No, not the next level… Rather taking up ten levels. 10x. 10x your decisions, 10x your effort, 10x your mindset. What exactly is “10xing”? Let’s take a look.
Go ahead and think about some of the goals you’ve made this year, this month, or this week. Do they seem achievable to you? What kind of effort would you have to put forth in order to accomplish them?
Listen to Grant: “Assume that every project you attempt will take more time, money, energy, effort, and people than you can imagine. Multiply every expectation by 10, and you will probably be safe. And if doesn’t take 10 times more than anticipated, great. It is better to be pleasantly surprised than greatly disappointed.”

The concept of “10xing” can be applied in many areas of life… not just at work. It’s really about changing the way you think. It’s about not setting limits on what you think you can achieve based on “societal norms” or whatever those are.
Having a 10x mindset can and will increase productivity, which leads to improved confidence, which results in positive results. You are setting goals that the “average” guy is too scared to do. You are putting in efforts that the “normal” person wouldn’t even consider.
Let’s go back to those goals you’ve made. You are required to put forth an effort in order to achieve them…
In a situation where effort is already needed, wouldn’t you rather put effort towards something ten times greater, producing ten times the results, making it ten times more of a success?
Grant brings up a great point saying that everything takes effort… Slacking on a projects takes effort, being bored takes effort, doing nothing takes effort. You may not realize it, but everything takes effort.
MAXIMIZE YOUR EFFORTS. 10x YOUR GOALS.
“Anything conducted in standard amounts simply won’t get the job done. The normal levels of action at which most people operate fail to take into account the effects of various forces – such as gravity, age, resistance, timing and the unexpected…people will try and take from you what they are unable to create themselves…succeed so big that no one person or event or series of missteps can take you down! Average levels of anything will fail you – or at the very least, put you at risk!”

Don’t limit yourself on what you can accomplish or what you can become. Start thinking with a 10x mindset. Set your goals ten times higher to produce ten times the results. It’s requiring your effort to do anything… you might as well take the opportunity to make yourself ten times more successful.
